'LATE SUMMER CORNFIELDS ' WORKSHOP WITH SOFT PASTEL
SATURDAY 17 OCTOBER 2026
Hovingham Village Hall, North Yorkshire
10.00am - 4.00pm
This workshop has been created for artists with some some previous painting experience (not necessarily with pastel) who want to loosen up, become more expressive with their media and develop a more dynamic and confident approach to the way they work. The versatile and immediacy of soft pastel is ideal to do just that!
Using colourful and vibrant multi layering techniques you will create a pastel paintings during the workshop that will visually show rich deep colours, luminous darks and contrasting highlights which together will create real depth in all your expressive cornfield landscape pastel paintings.
About the workshop
Pastels are so easy to use - colours resonate with this beautiful media each and every time! During your group demonstration you'll quickly see how so you too can experience the same for yourself.
Group and one to one tuition throughout the day you will help build your confidence to create a more expressionistic pastel painting in this exciting and rewarding pastel workshop.
Please note - but this workshop is not suitable for pure 'art' beginners as the techniques taught may well be too advanced. If in doubt, please do get in touch and we can discuss if the course is suitable for you. I want you to get the best out of the day and from yourself too.
Early booking IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED as places are limited to just 12 students only!
